About
My love affair with photography started with a hand me down Kodak Brownie camera as a young boy. Those photographs were stuffed into albums and have survived to present day and serve as a reminder of my non-linear journey making photographs.
That journey started, stopped, sputtered and would start again throughout my life. A camera was always nearby, but it was an aside and not the reason for capturing an image.
Today my camera is the reason for capturing an image. It is a conduit for preserving a moment in time. It allows me to see the world around me in an almost sensory way. Light and shadow define everything. The anticipation of people’s actions captured in an instant. Connected to the ever-changing human landscape surrounding me.
My favorite street photographers are Todd Webb, Jorge Silva, Vivian Maier, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Elliott Erwitt. Their collective body of work is iconic.
All prints are limited editions on archival paper manufactured by Canson and Hahnemuhle. Prints are made with Canon archival pigment.
I hope you enjoy visiting my site.
